Southampton Carer's Recognition Lunch - Book your place today!
This year, Carers Week runs from Monday 8 June until Sunday 14 June. "Building Carer Friendly Communities" is the theme, as it's vital that Southampton City Council work together to better support unpaid carers.
Southampton City Council are committed to working more closely with the people who access our services and their carers, so they would like to invite you to a special event on Wednesday 10 June at the Civic Centre, Southampton, starting at 12pm.
This is open to anyone who is caring for a family member or friend living in Southampton or who has done so in the past.
They will be launching their new Carers Charter, which sets out how we will value, support and work with carers, alongside our Carers Action Plan. This will detail the steps we will take to improve services and support for unpaid carers. There will be an opportunity to review these and to share your feedback to help shape our future offer for carers.
